Beginner Stained Glass
Stained Glass is taught during Open Studio time by Mike D, Bob K and/or Gail D . The person wanting to learn Stained Glass should attend an open studio session where one of these people are listed as monitor on the posted schedule. That person will get you started and explain the options for you to complete the training.
Students will first learn the use of the basic tools for shaping glass, then you will learn to foil and solder glass joints to make a solid glass piece. Students will finish their training by constructing a basic stained glass piece and then the student will be certified as competent in stained glass.
The cost of the class is $5 per session and the students will need to purchase stained glass, foil and solder to complete their chosen project. It will normally take up to six (6) sessions to finish the training. At the completion of training, you will be eligible for the monthly or annual fee arrangement.
The Glass Shop has some stained glass, foil and solder that they can sell to students.
Payment is required at the start of each session. Cash only.

Beginner Fused Glass
These classes will introduce you to the world of warm glass. You will soon be able to create and fire objects of art.
The Beginner Class consists of 5 sessions of 3 hours each.
Students will have 2 coasters, a plate and 2 pendants upon completing the class, glass is supplied for these works. The last class is devoted to each student working on their own project of choice. Glass is not provided for the last project that the student choices. The students are expected to go buy glass from local glass shops for their project.
Topics include: safety, cutting, grinding, types of fused glass, glass volume, layering, embellishments, molds, kilns and firing schedules. All tools, supplies and glass are included, except for the individual last project.
Upon completion of the Beginner Class, you will be eligible for the monthly or annual fee arrangement to attend Open Studio sessions to complete your own projects.

A Taste of Glass
Thursdays 1:30 pm drop-in
This drop-in class will give you a taste of fused glass. Buy a kit and enjoy this fun class. Take away a beautiful 6″x6″ square plate or a sun catcher, in less than 2 hours (kiln firing time not included). No experience required for this class.
Location: Glass Shop, Unit 3, Gila Room.
Cost: Kits TBD Cash only (supplies and glass are included).
Dates: Thursdays drop-in 1:30 pm (starting mid-October, closed holidays, last class mid-March)

Refunds will be made in full up to 5 days prior to the start of the class. After that time, refunds will only be available if your spot in the class can be filled by someone else on the waiting list.
