Beginner Stained Glass

Stained Glass is taught during Open Studio time by Lou Holtz, Mike Deplazes, and/or Bob Kastner. The person wanting to learn Stained Glass should attend an open studio session where one of these people are listed as monitor on the posted schedule. That person will get you started and explain the options for you to complete the training.

Students will first learn the use of the basic tools for shaping glass, then you will learn to foil and solder glass joints to make a solid glass piece. Students will finish their training by constructing a basic stained glass piece and then the student will be certified as competent in stained glass.

The cost of the class is $5 per session and the students will need to purchase stained glass, foil and solder to complete their chosen project. It will normally take up to six (6) sessions to finish the training. At the completion of training, you will be eligible for the monthly or annual fee arrangement.

The Glass Shop has some stained glass, foil and solder that they can sell to students.

Payment is required at the start of each session.  Cash only.
